Track tear advice

Ive currently got a track that has a 1" tear in the side of it, im wondering if this is runnable for the remaining month or so or repairable with some e6000, plates and rivets or sewing like a couple other threads mentioned, its on an 800 mountain sled

Sew it with loops of stainless wire.

Not pulled too tight.

I had one very similar I ran for 800 miles with wire loops.

I would be replacing that as soon as possible as an edge tear usually continues into the windows in short order. In a pinch as above stitch with stainless wire and hammer some glue in there.

Appreciate the advice, i'm gonna try stitching it and glue for now as ive got a spare track just incase it's just a small lug

If the track is considered "junk" at this time and you just plan to stitch it for the temporary, why not cut that lug off as well so it doesn't continue to put torque on your repair job?

I recommend temporary fixes like E6000, riveted plates, or sewing which can help slow down further tearing, but they won’t restore full strength.
