Track Spring

Can you replace the spring on the factory trackon a 05' 900? The shocks say ryde fx mpv. They look pretty cheap. I would like to put the 225 spring on. My current ones are not even ajustable. If you can't, what is the best cheapest spring you can buy?

If you're talking about the 225# front track spring that Carl's Cycle recommends, it's about $40 if I remember right ..

However, I don't think it's a good idea to put it on because it will cause you to trench more, and we all know how good the 900's are at trenching, even with an aftermarket skid ;)

If you want it to steer better skis and spindles are really they only way to go about doing that.

Have the Carls spring on a 166 and never noticed any "extra" trenching but then again would you really want to respring a worn shock?

Put track spring on and changed position of limiter strap to the longest. Now the sled trenches horribly. Should I go back down to lighter spring or just put limiter strap in middle hole again or both. Please help 159" track.

no, keep the heavier track spring. Just take up the slack in your limiter strap.
