Track question, 151 to a 154??

I have a 2007 rev 800 "X" with a 151 track on it, can I put on a 154 new style track on my sled without a extension? I do have a set on 8 inch rear wheels with a different axle, from mountain machines?? Thanks for the input

I hate my track and plan on geeting a new one. Just curious about the 154??

Hello

Hey D!!
This is Kyle. Thanks again for your help at Mt. St. Helens several years back. My sled just went into SK NW today but I may get it back Sat. AM. Sure would like to hook up and go riding. I don't know about your current setup, but I think you may need some extensions. Why do you want to change it?:):)

Ya you should be fine without an extention. But - the 154 track is a 2.86" pitch and your's is a 2.52" pitch so you'll have to change your drivers. Ski-doo makes a driver that works, part #504152552. It's an 8 tooth from there race sleds.

going to bend the next 2 weekends.

the reason for the track is the 2007 tracks suck, the wifes 2006 sled will go farther up the mountain than mine and that doesn't work for me?

are the drivers easy to change or do you next to press them on and off?, will the track rub on my tunnel?

thanks

Yes, they have to be pressed on/off. The 2.86 x 8 drivers are almost the same size as the 2.52 x 9 drivers. I believe the x's had 10 tooth drivers so you should have more room and it will gear your sled down which is a good thing too.

Track fix

Snow Shark---I did these mods on that track and it works awesome now!!

I have heard all the talk about how crappy those tracks are--but this seemed to do the trick for making them work--I got to try it in the deep last weekend for 3 days and was impressed with it.

Just my .02.
