I have a 2004 ProXR 800 LE sled with the 136" rail conversion and 8" billet 2 wheel freedom kit on the rear axle. Having problems with too tight of a track running a 136X15X1 1/4" Ripsaw with the side pads on the track. My 2" track works great, so I pretty much narrowed it down to the pads on the side on the inside of the track causing me problems. I have to have the track so tight just to prevent ratchetting. Up in the air on the stand my whole drivers try to climb up on the drive lugs and bind the track up bad in the process. On the snow it works fine with no sign when tightened right up. Feels like I'm loosing alot of power because of this increased rolling resistance due to the setup.
What can I fit under this? Thinking of either a 136X15X1 1/4 or 1 1/2" track, or stretching it out to 144 if I can since I'm barely using the idler adjustment screws at all, they are backed all the way out with tons of room with the 8" wheels. And last but not least, what do I have to do to fit a 16" wide track? Grind some rivets down and what else?
I'm guessing I can't use a Renegade take off track because they are 2.52" pitch and I need 2.86" pitch right?
Might just do the Avid Extrovert drivers if suggested as well while I'm at it?
