Track Hack!

A buddy of mine has one of those "track hole saws" he said he would let me borrow. He has done his track precisely, measured it nicely, and it looks great, his is an aftermarket track. I intend on using the original track again this year "06 700 151". My questions are: With the stock track is it safe to drill holes, durability issues?, how many do you guys recomend per "row" of paddles? is it essential to have them spaced exactly etc for balance issues of the track when shes turning? and finally is the weight really worth it or the "clean out" really that substantial?
Thanks for your input.

do it it really helps with clean out i have 3 per row,and have 3 yrs on the stock track with no problem

X 3 I recomend grinding the teeth flush with the O.D. Of the holesaw .It will leave a smoother hole
