Track Extension??

I'm thinking of extending the track on the 900. I currently have a 2006 900 151". what does it take to extend the track? Any suggestions would be great. I'm thinking 155" like the new dragons.

If you're only going to a 155, you won't need a tunnel extension. You will need a pair of rail extensions or 155 rails, the track, and 2.86 drivers.

IMHO the 05-06 series IV track are a little better than the newer series V.

The 05-06 tracks are a 2.52 pitch .... so I would stick to those tracks that way you will not have to change drivers.

Driver change can be a bit pricey like $300.00 plus.

The tracks I would consider is the 159" x 2.4" lug or the 166" X 2.4" lug.

The 159" makes the most sense .... you would only need to purchase rail extentions.

I like the SLP extentions .... only cost about $100.00.

Good luck

Thanks for the advice guys. Just so I get this right. I don't need a tunnel extension? That would sure make this more practical.

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that the 166 and the 159 both used the longer stock tunnel extension and the 144 and 151 shared the shorter stock tunnel extension?

I guess I wonder if that extra 4.5" of track under there would actually fit when the suspension is fully compressed:confused:

i ran a 159 under my 151 tunnel with the only problem being cooling-- meaning the snow goes under the flap instead of hitting it and deflecting up to the cooler. not a real big deal as long as i kept my scratchers down on the trail.

So... to do this right I need a tunnel extension. Anyone know where to pick one up to take this to a 159" track?
