Track clips? Can you clip a used track?

Sorry if it's been asked before new to the axys, just picked up a 16 155 2.6 and was considering fully clipping the track and was just wondering if I need to do it while it's new or if I can wait? Spending money on accessories and a-arms. Thanks!

clipped tracks from 0 miles up to 1000 miles.
as stated above- ..Your track will wear if you dont clip it- especially sidehilling puts a bind on this single ply track outside edges.
Guided or unguided clip's work fine.. done both with no advantage over the other.

Has anybody clipped a 2.6 on the lugs and removed the oem clips?

I clipped a few with the scissor style and didn't like the results. Went back with the ATW Industries 3" and they cleaned up great, and every remaining clip installed with that tool was as tight as stock.

I don't want to mess with clips again on this track, and can't imagine how tedious it would be to clip the lugs and remove the stock ones. Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Dumb question but can you use that anvil tool with the track and skid on the sled still?

Yes that's why there's a cut out for the track lug on that tool. You still should loosen your track all the way.

This tool is $120 on SI site and $61.81 with free shipping on Amazon! Wonder why the price is nearly double at source innovations?? Appears to be the exact same item. Humm . . .

CDN dollars? If you can get it there, buy it because that is a great price. I don't make much on these and would rather not need to stock them but do more for customer service than anything.

Got the woodys tool and I looked on the website and it said for up to 2" track and for more you have to order the 3" adapter? Do I need to order it for the 2.6 or will the tool itself work. I tried one clip with it and it seemed to work just don't want to screw up the clips!

I also have the same questions looking at this tool and clips.
