I need to pull my 2.6 for clipping and put a Comp Track on for early season ..

Any tips??

Are the Clutch side bearing support bolts lock-tited were they need heat ??

I know how to change a track but obviously there are torx fasteners , what size ?? T-30??

I'm already regretting ordering E Start and haven't opened a panel..

T30 sounds right, they are loctited and I highly recommend a little heat. I stripped the head out of one the first one I tried removing.

Got air tools or good quality cordless impact? That makes that job super easy. The rear skid comes out in 5-10 min, remove silencer, Ive never worked on an e-start one but that good ole battery is in your way, Hold the brake and loosen quick drive bolts. Drive shaft bearing flange bolts were not an issue, but that also could relate to what tools your using. Sometime it helps to remove the lower bearing in the quick drive support plate to give the driveshaft extra room to move.
After you do this once or twice you can do the whole job in a hour or less. Eric

one thing i always do is remove the lower bearing on the belt drive , it makes it really easy to get the drivers back in .

I swapped my track yesterday. I didn't remove the silencer or quick drive bearing but i removed secondary instead.. very easy job and didn't need any special tools ?

Ok sounds like normal ..

Skid removal is never a problem just wondered about the new fasteners on bearing support on clutch side ..

Mine is Chain Drive , had QD on Pro and bearing wear on Jackshaft was always a issue so I went this route with a TKI Belt Drive ..

I think I will definitely pull the Silencer for ease of battery removal .

In case you needed to know for sure.....the screws on the bearing plate are T-40. Eric

Super easy first remove the secondary clutch remove (T40 ) the bearing plate , go on the other side remove the silencer , remove the 2 Gears of the quick strap (the 2 Gears cause you'll need to put those 2 gears at the same time you'll reput the strap at this place ) . And then you just have to push on the shaft .. pull it to the back off the snowmobile and pass it in the frame left to right .. you'll have it in your hands .. you're not obligated to completely pull it off but it's the best to put the track in place ... Good luck

FWIW my 16 was on its second track (warranty) and the dealer who installed it could've applied a little too much loctite to the bolts causing me to strip one out (I was removing the 2nd track to fully clip it). But just a forewarning that it can happen!
