So im just about to buy a track and it seems Im still undecided. PC or CE 2.5". I know this topic has been beat to death a million times but Im findin it hard to get the opinions of some turbo guys. Had a 162 PC last year and my sled trenched all the time. I was also running a stock skid which felt like was alot of the problem, this year I have a new timbersled skid to try out. Most of my riding is in deep deep snow and Im running a RG TM8 at about 14lbs. Any opinions and the riding style you do would be great. Also which duro to run on the PC if I decide to run it again this year??

I would try the new skid before i went and invested in the track. you may find your stock skid was the problem. My trenching problems are usually related to my summer :beer; consumption and poorly valved fox floats

Definately recommend trying the powerclaw as I really liked it on boost around 12lbs. I think the CE is better at higher boost but not sure by how much. IMO the trenching was definately the skid

Prefer the 80 duro over the 90. I own both & the 90 is a bit of a disappointment in the PC.

If you were trenching, I'd say 90% of it was setup, not the track. Even with the stock skid, tuning the suspension is SOO key. I'll be honest I'm pretty comfy with tuning suspension & I found it easier to get the stock skid to do what I wanted than the TS skid. I wasn't looking for the front end being held down like you are though, different goals.

Thanks to everyone so far. I played around with the stock skid last year a bit but it seemed like everything i tried didnt make much diference. I was just assuming that it was the skid ergonomics itself that were causing the issue. And its not like im a really heavy guy either (about 210 with gear and lunch in my bag) I would really like to keep the front end at optimal height while climbing forsure so in other words no wheelies! :face-icon-small-hap. Ive started to hear some really good feedback from some apex/nytro guys who are running the pc with alot more boost and hp than I have. I guess now I will need to check and see which duro would be best. When you said you didnt prefer the 90 did you mean it felt too stiff????
