TRA2 on a 800 Rev?

Background: The fixed sheave spline broke on my wifes 05 800 summit. The gov cup is also cracked. It's trash. $720 for a new TRA3 is the cheapest I can find (online) $300-$400 for used/worn out ones. WOW! I bought a forged TRA2 dirt cheap. Not much wear, nice & tight. The seller said it came off a 2002 800 summit.
Question: Anyone ever run a forged TRA2 on a Rev? I know the belt needs to be narrower. What belt did ya use? Any problems?

The TRA-2 is no where near as stout as the 3 (I've had them apart side by side) but then again, the same can be said of the TRA-VII vs. the 3. Personally I would run at least the 3 if this sled is going to be run in the mountains. If just on trails then the 2 should work if the ZX belts will allow full shift out.

Have FUN!

I know one part on the TRA2 thats stronger. The splines on the fixed sheave, they're quite a bit thicker. Ya think a 197 belt would be a good place to start?

same happened here,05 was wore out and had the old 02 clutch on the shelf. Gave it a try and works good for the wife, super smooth ingagement. running
the 02 belt, no problem setting deflection. don't know how it would stand up to very aggressive mountain riding though.

I have customers who have done this with rev sleds.
Take the secondary apart and remove one shim from inside of it - you are preparing it for the 2002/800 drive belt.
Run the 2002 ramps and primary 800 summit parts. If you can't find the original primary clutch ramps, they will more than likely not be able to get them from a skidoo dealer then get them from the original manufacturer they are $16 bux each.
