TRA XP Question

Ok, went on a poker run yesterday with the fam and the nasty high reving bottom end on the XP has to go. I believe stock it has a 160/320 spring. Right now The top is perfect. about 8150 on pulls. Clickers in 3. I want to go to a 130 to get more "bite" on the bottom so will the 130/320 effect my top at all or just try it and go to clicker 4 if needed. The other option is a 120/350 but I do not like the thoughts of a stiffer spring on top.

will make no difference on top end. the 130 will have a much lower engagement. i think stock is 190/320

Stock is purple/purple 160/320. Add a little primary weight to bring down the RPM's. If you then can't pull RPM on a climb, go with a progressive helix....44/36 or 44/33 depending on track length, riding style etc...
Or...just click down for trail cruising and click back up for the hills.

I don't want to add anymore weight becuase I already added weight and it's right where I want it at WOT. I just want it to be more repsonsive on the bottom. These things turn like 7000 just crusing down the trail at quarter throttle. What is stock helix? I want to get the primary set up right before I mess with the helix.

I don't think you'll find a settup that does both road riding and climbing without some compromise. I would still say add MORE weight, then click up for the hills....might also try a 160/290 spring. Stock helix is a straight 42, if you change helix's you must also change the primary weight.
