TPS vs Mapping

I was thinking about changing the baseline and idle settings of my TPS, however if you change those, does it change the engine map curve? I have a SLP Stage 2 '09 Assault with PCV and running SLP map. I know I can calibrate the PCV TPS but will changing my stock TPS settings offset the stock map thus requiring me to modify the PCV map?

TD, what are you thinking? Has some one told you or do you believe this could help you in some way? If the tps is out of adjustments it sends the wrong information to the ECU and the engine runs like poo and could possibly cause engine damage.

I talked to a dealer in MN and he said that he had been slightly changing his TPS baseline and idle settings.
Baseline: .693-.698V
Idle: .942V
He said that the sleds he had done it to had either woken up and ran better (better throttle response, better idle...) or not had a noticable difference. But it didn't make any of them worse. So I figured it couldnt hurt. So I talked to my dealer back home and he had heard of these numbers too and talked to Polaris about it and they said they knew those numbers too... So I don't know where these numbers came from... but why not give it a shot. So I got the green light to change them.
But what I want to know is if they are changed, how is that going to affect my PCV downstream?
Does changing these numbers shift the map around? If so I'll need to refine my PCV map accordingly or just recalibrate the TPS in the PCV and its good to go again?

Call Jim at dynotech and ask him, he knows more the PC5 like no one! What dealer you dealing with in MN, just curious?

TPS

I started playing with my TPS values in 07 on my 700.

I've been running my 800 at an idle voltage of .930 for over 2500 mi. Fuel mileage went from 8mpg to 12+mpg and the sleds plugs leaned up considerably. Just my findings but my bud has been running .930 idle setting for over 2500 mi also.

My thinking was if you changed the voltage (lowered it) the ECU wouldn't think the throttle bodies were as open as they really are and would give the motor slightly less fuel. All I can go on is how it cleaned up my plug color and mpg. Don't have any dyno sheets or fuel flow info to back the theory up. Give it a try, you can always set it back...

Ok so I had my dealer put these TPS numbers in my '09 Assault this morning...
Baseline: .693-.698V
Idle: .942V
RAN LIKE A CHAMP tonight... so my setup is:

800 CFI full updates, SLP full single pipe kit, air intake kit, SLP clutching (blue/pink primary with 71g MTX weights), Pink VES springs, Stock ECU flashed to original 2010 Map. PCV with SLP Map w/ fuel accel enabled as instructed, and those TPS numbers. ran well before but had mid-range stumble. this took care of that. Ran consistently 8150 RPM...(pulling hard, the snow is pretty hard right now so its really hooking up)
BTW i'm running at 0-3000 ft right now.

My dad changed his 800 to the same setup except he is running 10-70s for weights... is ran awesome too!

I'm heading out to the snowies this weekend and will be there all next week. I'll report back on how it runs. going to only change to 68g MTX w/ no rivets for that. I'm pumped to have this thing running well finally! Maybe this setup would work for some other people so I thought I would toss it out there... Anyone know snow conditions in the snowies?
