Well just replaced the gas tank on my Phazer, fired it up in the garage, let it warm up a bit, pulled it outside, went to go get some gloves, came back and up she went!!! Merry freakin Christmas!!!!!

WTF! It would be interesting to find out what that was all about.
I'm thinking that there was some gas hiding somewhere from the old tank having a whole in it, but it ran for 10-15 minutes, no smoke or anything an then she just went up. I was waitin 3 weeks for a tank, the garage didn't even smell like gas, but there must have been some somewhere.
mines still fixable, burnt up my gloves taking the seat off while trying to put out the flames though, one thing I've started think about is, before it went up. I was trying to get it into reverse, all it was doin was bogging down, had to shut it off to get it back to the forward gear before i went to get my gloves, is there anyway or anything with the reverse set up that could have caused this???
K, I bought the sled second hand and later found out that there was a hole in the tank that had been patched up, The patch held,,,, till I filled it up!! Then the gas ate away at what ever was being used to patch the tank, removed the tank to find out there had also been a hole punched through the tunnel. Ordered a new tank (the old tank was off the sled for 22 days!!), put the new tank on, fired it up and well it started on fire!!!! The Phazer is now at the dealership, it seems someone (the idiot i bought the sled from) had stuffed insulation ( only god knows why) under the heat sheild on top of the exhuast!!!!!!! Needless to say that it got saturated with the gas and when it got to temp, went up like a Christmas tree in January. SO FAR WITH THE COST OF THE SLED AND REPAIRS, I COULD HAVE BOUGHT A NEW NITRO!!!!!!
