Toyota GURUS HELP!

I have a 1990 toyota Tacoma//Pickup and I started it and everything was fine... Then it just died on ME! so i had a bud come over and it wasent getting any spark. Checked it with the cap off the plug on metal.. Nothing. So i Pulled the center wire off the distubitior and it didnt look rusty, Im Completly at a loss for words right now. Wtf can be wrong? Coil? My Ecu box? my wires? God.. I have it getting towed into a shop soon.

Check all fuses and relays?? Check engine light? Did it make any noises when it died?? Timing chain would fit, but I would think some valves would mash up if your chain broke...

How about 12V at your distributor? 12V on coil?

My guess would be a bad igniter or coil does it flash any codes? If it was the timing chain it would have been making noise before it went and would sound a lot different when it turns over now.
there is a diagnostics connector beside the under-hood fuse box. You short out connectors E1 and T1. Then when you turn the key to on you will get the codes

Here is a online service manual http://personal.utulsa.edu/~nathan-buchanan/93fsm/ignition.html

Have seen distributors go on these but very unlikely the ignitor.

Mine went out on my 87 at about 200k miles.... easy fix found on the internet somewhere about using the ignitor from a chevy 305 or 350v8.... cost about $20 and some solder and a couple resistors from radio shack. Seemed like on the old toyota forums it was a pretty common problem...
