I am thinking about putting on a set of these toyos on my stock rims of my dodge 2500 for the winter. Does anyone have any experience with these tires?? I have been running Good year Wrangler duratracs the last few winters with no studs but was told these would be much better that a studded duratrac. Any ideas or comments appreciated. thanks :face-icon-small-hap

i ran them last winter and absolutly loved them, they seem to have wore very good as well. can't really hardly notice any wear after about 10,000km, and that was with a couple thousand in april and may when it was warm out already.

I have not run that particular Toyo, but I would like to see it outperform a Studded Duratrac. Pretty much the entire North Slope of Alaska runs Duratracs. Pretty tough to beat for a do it all tire.

Have those on my 1500, IMO there OK, if im going toyo I would go with the M55, sipe and stud, hard to beat in the snow and Ice.

I find the M-55 to be a bit hard in the rubber department whether siped or studded. Granted they wear good, but they have left me wanting more.

Well i got the toyo on for about 1500 miles now and drove on some extremely icy hwy and so far they same decent. There stopping power on ice is awsome. I wish i could do a back to back comparison to the studded duratrac just to see. The only complaint i have so far was the price $375 a tire OUCH.

well we sell tires and the best hitters are the wlt1s and the m55..... for oilfeild the m55s are the best gravel truck tire out there... Wlt 1s are very good too. but anyone try out G0-2's? we've installed hundreds of them so far this yr

Well thought I would post an update on these tires, I just got back From Revelstoke and put on around 3000kms round trip pulling a 4 place enclosed on less than ideal road conditions and have nothing but good things to say, These tires held the road great, drove everything from snow covered roads to black ice. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a winter tire on there 3/4 ton truck.
