First time with a torsional clutch kit. Its an older OVS With a 42/36 helix and a red/white spring. Does the pic look like its installed right? I have no instructions!! How much can you twist it down? As you see the 3 screws on the outside have 6 settings and im set in the middle. If i max out on the 1-6 settings can i twist it down 1/3 so the outside screws line up?? Or is this way to much? I started the sled and run on a stand ant it ingages and such but should it snap back when you let off or will it only do that in the snow? it just seems to go in and out smooth.

Any help would be great.

What sled is this on? I am not sure from the picture but you do not want to twist it up too much cause it will bind the spring and possibly break it. All I did was (after breaking the first spring by twisting it up to much) put the spring in the hole I wanted, then twisted the cap just enough to get the holes to line up for the screws.

Superfast..

Its on an 07 m8 162... Do you meen the hole where the spring hooks into it. right now i have it in the middle setting. is that where you move the spring around. should i be in a different hole then the middle. Sorry for the questions but do want to wreck anything.

That is a good place to start what elevation do you ride at from what I can tell from the picture it is in correctly but I can not tell with the picture. it is pretty hard to not put it together correctly

I ride between 5000-8000ft, So from what im understanding is the 3 screws on the outside are for fine tunning and the 6 holes for the spring are for major ajustment. is this right

Yes that is correct... I am thinking you might want to try a 34* helix in that and see if it works better for you

What would be the benefit of going to the 34 over what i have? Im also running a cutler gold/white in my primary.
