Torquearms 900 dragon

i would go with the slp set up, but i thought slp was the only one that made torque arms for these sleds? are there any others?

can these be used in conjunction of the slp mounts. looks like the mag mounts to a differen't spot... better IMO but not terrible sure about the pto side...

I run the SLP torque arm and torque stop with new stock motor mounts.

2 yrs and 2000+ miles and no issues. 1 belt per yr with approx 1000 miles a year. 1115 belt.

Compfusion mounts are to rigid IMO

My plan is to run both the SLP mounts, compfusion motor mounts, and a billet crossmember to compensate for the rigid mounts.

SLP from day one (only ones offered) 4K plus no problems. As long as they are stout I think either set would work.

Newfusion has gone bulletproof ^^ on mounting!!!

Hasn't happened yet but its in the works. Already have the SLP set up and planning on the mounts and crossmember next year.

There is such a thing as too much.

You are going to vibrate like crazy with all that rigidity.

Just my .02cts

I agree with rmk2112, might possibly crack some around the welds in the shock tower area and other stress points under engine? I use the slp mounts with stock '06 mounts and haven't had a problem. Changed the front mounts last spring as a precautionary since had the engine out and mine were still great no cracks and not dry so have spares now. Have 4k+ miles on 121" shorty and have been using SLP mounts since around 800 miles after clutch snapped off stock crank got lucky happened while under warranty so Polaris replaced engine.

See this is why the mounts haven't been installed yet. Some people say that even the '06 mounts will still tear and to go with the compfusion mounts so they won't tear. Now you say they won't and the compfusions may cause other weak areas to break. So now I'm leaning back towards the stock mounts like I was in the beginning, I don't know. So much info, which to believe. haha Sled doesn't vibrate too much at all as of now and I don't want to ruin that.

06 mounts will work fine, if you run them then get the SLP or F&I torque arms.

The compfusion mounts hold the engine tighter and as someone said will transfer a bit more vibration to the chassis and cause other things to break like the crossmember with the older style ones. This is why a lot of us are running billet crossmember. Since the compfusion mounts do not let the motor move in the direction of belt pull the SLP torque arm should not be necessary and may even cause the belt to run hotter because the engine will not be able to move at all.

Here is what I have found so far with the compfusions. You really feel the vibration in your feet when you are going down the trail but once you get in the powder it is not so bad.

IndyDan doesn't like them at all because of the increase in vibration.

Almost forgot, the New 1115 belt is so much stronger than the original 080 you probably will never have belt problems even if you just used stock mounts and no torque arms.

As long as the 06 mounts will work and won't tear those are the ones that I am going to get now. Thanks for the info.

the don't tear out in one year. you have to remember these sleds are 5-6 years old now, things wear out after that long.

zane statement above is dead on.

i have 4 sleds, all have the compfusion mounts installed. and also had the SLP arms installed WITH billet crossmembers as well...

AND MOOOOST IMPORTANTLY, i balance my primary clutches with INDYDAN every 2 seasons...this is the MOST IMP thing to do, this will make or break your vibs/crank ect

there are some vibs on my feet, but smooth out and i tend to get used to it, so never really notice anything.

overboard?? maybe, maybe not...but i have NEVER blown a belt on my sleds in 4 seasons....

i now have a TM3 crank in a 975, TM1 in a 900 turbo project and a TM1 in a modded 900...so i am ONLY going to use the SLP PUSH arm now...i will remove the torque arms to remove any possible vibration transfer thats not needed with my balanced clutches and the TM crankshafts.

i think SLP arms are worth it for sure...stock 06 mounts with balanced primary will work fine for most of the semi-stock 900s out there...once you start heavily modding your 900...i would get billet x-members from Franz and Compfusion mounts w/o a doubt. ;)
