Torque stop adjust.

My torque stop looks like .06 gap,, need to adjust. Do i have to pull off the primary clutch to adjust ?

And i assume the shape of the rubber on the stop will not spin w/ the thread of the adjust bolt ?

is your primary clutch on the motor right now? im assuming not if you were able to get a gap measurement..

if the clutch is off, just loosed the jum nut on the torque arm/engine brace until the gap is correct...i set mine at .015"..

no the rubber will not move seperately from the bolt its mated to.

if your clutch is installed, only way to get it adjusted w/o pulling clutch is to remove the side engine brace and loosen in off the sled, and re-install the brace back on the motor, but you wont get an accurate reading.

hope that helps...

I could see the gap when i had the airbox off. I'm farmiliar w/ distances and did an eye measurment...
My push stop is not a round rubbber stop,, it has shape to the motor case.... I don't think it's stock... maybe its the SLP stop... With it's shape it will not rotate, thats why i was wondering if it spun seperate from the tread bolt. If it doesnt rotate, i only can figure that it can be adjusted if i take that structure off,, rotate, bolt back on. (i don't have a clutgch puller, rather not remove it anyhow if i don't have too.

You can't measure such a small gap by eye.
The manual states .010 - .030"
I have seen some pics of crumpled side braces, along with a warning that you should set it at the larger end of that range. I wish I could find the posts, but no luck yet. I'll keep looking
