torque on diamond drive t30 bolts

The original screws are self tapping and that is why when reused you increase the chance of pulling the threads out of the case.

You are better off throwing them out and getting regular thread screws

12 ft-# is definitely wrong. It is actually 43 in-lb. Then divide by 12, the result is 3.583 lb-#, so just hand-tighten the bolts. The 12 ft-# Silverman323 talk about is the filler plug.

you may both be right but gongshow didn't say what year sled. I think the 07' cases that came w/ rtv have a different torque than the newer ones with the gasket....
 
Manual says 12ft lbs just to clear that up, lock nuts torqued to 20 ft lbs if you have the dd right out.

I might not be doing it right but i read on here once that it was 12ft# and that's what Ive been doing with out problems.:face-icon-small-sho
