Torn Seat Quick Fix?

The seat on my 07 Summit 800 started to tear the other day. The seam between the two fabrics in front of my crotch/below the gas cap has separated and there is a 2" gap that wants to keep going. Duct tape doesn't last more than five minutes and I wanted to check in here before experimenting with any sort of adhesive. I'm not too concerned with aesthetics, I just want to stop this before it goes any further and have to take more drastic action. THANKS!

take some gasket material (black rubber material) and cut it to fit the hole/tear and then use some sort of burly adhesive. My roomate did this on his seat and its held up great for the last 2 seasons. a cheap fix and pretty unnoticable to the untrained eye.

Shoe Goo doesn't melt into the vinyl like VLP does and I've found it to be a poor choice in comparison (but will work better than duct tape if you have nothing else on hand).

Have FUN!

Seam Grip is a great product for permanent repairs also, used for fabrics mainly though so i'm not sure how well it'd stick to vinyl. It's especially good for repairing rips and waterproofing seams. There's several similar products also, Aquaseal for waders / rubber and of course Shoe Goo.
