top speed on rmk 600 ho 2008

Points to straight road ahead...............
Points to throttle...............

Squeeze hard, hold on tight, look at dial in approx 15 secs.

Now ya know!:D

Seen 87 MPH indicated at 9000 feet on hard pack with stock gearing on an 07 RMK 600-144 2" paddles.

Geared it down this season for better acceleration and pull in the deep, that is what really matters.

91 at sea level, running the river coming home. Geared up now with a 1.5" track and 100 is easy.

hi, thanks for the replys, i dont think it is irrelevant:)

i was asking this quistion because i changed my gearing to 19/42 thos loosing 5mph acording to polaris chart.
And i have`nt been able to test the top speed where i live, not much snow now and only hils and small open areas...

i totally agree that top speed is not important on a mountain sled, because it is hard to ride fast on ex slopes......

now to my point for this question, i think i am going to gear it 18/42 or go to 19/43, how often do you run a mountain sled in 80+mph.....

if any one sees 91mph on a rmk and with 19/42 i loose 5mph so then maybe it would be able to do 86mph( too much for me)

depends where. i know i take my '08 rmk 600 from seattle all around the cascades and back to minnesota. in the mountains yuo can probablyy get to bout 60 or 70 on a good DOWN HILL run. not too many spots. on ice back east i got it too 103 so geared down for mountains is deffiantly good.
