Top End Rebuild Question

So my uncle is deciding to freshen up his top end on his '02 700 RMK. Its got probably 7000 miles on it, all original parts. He was talking about putting rings in it, but I thought it might be a good idea to do pistons, rings, wrist pin bearings... the works. So what do you guys think?

-just rings
-pistons, rings, bearings

Thanks guys

I would do the pistons, rings, and bearings. That many miles on a sled used mostly off trail, adds up to a lot of hours running time! Your piston skirts may be getting thin or weak. Imo, do it all while it is apart.

i agree also with higher mileage pistons the ring grooves wear out and you have a chance of a ring breaking and causing alot of damage
