Top end for turbo sleds

Looking to rebuild my top end. Been looking at the "fix kit" and rk-tek.

I have heard good things about both in the pro section but want to hear more from people who have run them in turbos.

I am leaning more to the Rk tek since money is tight and i can just drop good pistons in now and later add his turbo head with his domes to match the piston design later on.

Any feed back would be great, looking for feed back from people with these kits in sleds with TURBOS!

Just put in a mtntk fix kit into my 12 pro a couple weeks ago, upgraded my 13 silber kit to the kpa turbo and bulldog so can't tell ya much. Going to wyoming for thanksgiving to do some riding! Can't wait to try out the new upgrades!!

I have the fix kit and am also thinking boost this year. Just wondering if there's any known issues with this set up? Any feed back would be great.

I ride a ski doo with an aerocharger and I put on an rk tek lower compression head and a set of his pistons and couldn't be happier, the quality of the rk tek stuff is very good. Definitely recommend his stuff.

I am doing the rk tek direct replacement pistons. I have a silber kit with bullydog update. Was told to keep the motor as stock as possible.

I know there is several people here with mtntk fix kit and turbo, works great. I am considering to go the same route.

ordered 2 terra alps kits one will go on a na sled with high comp one on a silber turbo 12 pro hope to c them early next week to get these sleds together asap, snow is coming the season is here lol

mtntk fix kit and boondocker turbo here..... ran spot on last year, gonna try 10-12lbs this year and se what happens.
the engine really quieted down when i did the pistons and spacer. didn't have any leaks last year, and the sled ran really strong.

only rode mine once this year with the turbo head and pistons worked great the pistons actually fit the Cyl not like the stockers

Just pistons....

They are custom RK Wossner pistons which are some dang good pistons. I know many that use them in their turbo and non turbo sled and all love them. I did not need or want a head as I want to keep my bottom end HP stock as I ride a lot of trees. Now RK does claim that his turbo head will not loose any bottom and this might be true but not willing to find out for the money.

His pistons work great....

I have his turbo head head and it is great. well worth it. I feel the bottom end is slightly better then his normal dome or the stock head and still good topend. hope this helps.

Nice!!

So your saying his lower compression turbo head is better on the bottom than a stock head....

get him to make u a 12.5:1 turbo head this way u have better dome design and better performance with less chance of det,as u can run 12.5 domes in na sled just prem so im sure this would not throw off anything from your current set up except even better low end as the stock head sucks,i had awesome gains on my na 13 with just 12.5 par head went to a 13:1 had to add 2 gals of av to tank but i can crush a etec now no prob,my brother is going to try a 13:1 terra alps turbo head on his 12 with silber turbo running straight av to c if he can get some bottom end grunt back with 1 lb less boost and a fix kit should be equal hp but less lag as he loves the trees as well

I ran the RK pistons and head all last year, and they were spot on. I had kelsey build me a head that was a bit higher in Comp than a "normal" turbo head (running 10-14K' primarily), and the bottom end was better than it was with the stock head/pistons for sure. Definitely would recomend RKT stuff for use with a turbo (or without for that matter)

What compression did yours run? What is his normal turbo head compression?
