Top end bog

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem. When I put the throttle to the bar from 3/4 throttle it bogs to about 6500 rpm for 2 seconds and then picks back up. Just wondering if anyone could give me some clues as to what this could be. Thanks

ride it again, use the recorder and make sure you arnt hitting the rev limiter..the stock tach cant keep up with the motor and will show 800-8100 rpmon acceleration when in fact it is hitting 84-8500 rpm and hitting the limiter..if thats not it.. .the 11's(I assume this is an 11) had some issues with injectors that would cutout at full throttle...also check the throttle freeplay, the powervalves and make sure they are clean, and thats about all I can think of right now...

I don't think it was over revving. The highest rpm I saw was around 8000. Maybe less cuz the clutching isn't set up correctly so it doesn't want to pull high rpms.

I would still check..a lot of guys last year were positive that it wasnt hitting the limiter, and when weight was added they stopped doing it....

Big

I had this exact issue with my 11 rmk assault would bog for a short second or two then pick back up. Took to the dealer checked tps sensor, injectors and sent it back but did still have the bog and took measures into my own hands. Went to a 68 farm weights for 3-6000 ft and out in the non ethanol plug and have not had a bog since with 600 miles so far. As stated in the other post use the recorder in the dash display I thought I was nowhere near the limiter but o. Using this recorder you can see exactly when and where I was hitting the limiter.

yep easy fix add 2 grams, and check it..the guys are riding up here but I will wait for more snow..plus..just got the sled in the garage tonite to start getting it ready for the season..

I've had the same thing on mine last year when I was a little over clutched. The tach never seemed to show it over-revving, but I think it reads a little slow, and you never actually display peak rpms. As soon as I clutched it down a bit it runs great. I never thought it was a rev limiter issue, but it sure was.

Do not rely on what the tach says. Unless you do record function it does not read fast enough.

Running a 12 Pro 800 155 all stock at this point, stocks springs in the primary and secondary (black) and stock weights (62's). Riding elevation usually between 7500-9000. 1st two days of riding were break-in days, 100 miles be end of day 2. Day 3 we rode fresh all day long and towards end I noticed a bog here and there where the R's were dropping from 8200 down to 7200 roughly and then would come back. This especially happened when making downhill turns and heading back up the hill. Sled had 150 miles be end of day 3. Do you think the sled is hitting the rev limiter? I was thinking the one change I need to make for sure is swapping out the secondary spring. Any thoughts here? Appreciate the feedback. I have not rode since.

Good advice, I would also put a new fuel filter in. I had this problem and checked everything. Then pulled my FF of and blew threw it, could tell it was way restricted compared to a new one.
