Have a custom built 2010 RMK and want to add a toolbox inside the engine compartment.

Should I place it at the front well where the front bumper bolts onto the frame ? (Have a canvas bag I could velcro there)

Or the traditional place on the aluminum belt cover? I know POWERMADD had/has a toolbox anymore for that area or just go buy a plastic box somewhere?

The electronics sit on top of the belt cover on my 2010.

Are you looking at a plastic or metal tool box? Or simply a place to lash a cloth tool roll?

I'm in the same boat.

I was figuiring a plastic tool box ontop the belt guard. POWERMADD had/has one but cant find it. Guess I will keep looking for a cheap one. I just not willing to pay 30 bucks for a $2 toolbox. On a plastic toolbox concerned the plastic will crack with cold temps.

I have some military surplus canvas tool bags about a foot long, 6 inches wide AND 6 INCHES TALL. Was thinking of using velcro for it in the very front . the only thing I son't like about velcro is it can ice up and not work.

these work well as long as they are more than a few inches away from the pipe.

Tool pouch ... maybe a clear vinyl or plastic bag or a kayak bag.

The frame is a 2010. Engine, hood, gas tank , seat are from a 2007. The sled has a carbed 2007 SLP 727 kit.

Sled is a little dirty but here are some pics
