I had The luck of taking a couple guys from Austin Texas riding for their first time. Neither had any idea what it was like to be in the back country let alone on a ski hill. So the night before I gave them a copy of Boondockers 5 Alive, so they could see just what to expect on their first ride. Needless to say, neither were looking forward to getting in the truck to go that morning.
We worked our way up the trail nice and easy allowing them time to get use to the machines.2010 800 XP's...By the time we got up top they were feeling like they had those machine tamed and ready to go put use what they learn on the trail ride up.
I honestly haven't ridden with a complete newb for 4 or 5 years and have forgot how fun and entertaining it can be........ Watching them take in the views and being blown away by what we get to play in all year long. At one point we got on top of a ridge and got cell service. They started calling their
fiends and associates and saying, "Guess where I'm at, I am at 10.000 feet! On a snowmobile!" Almost like if I was to call home from the moon.
All in all a very fun time and a bit of an eye opening experience..
