I had The luck of taking a couple guys from Austin Texas riding for their first time. Neither had any idea what it was like to be in the back country let alone on a ski hill. So the night before I gave them a copy of Boondockers 5 Alive, so they could see just what to expect on their first ride.;) Needless to say, neither were looking forward to getting in the truck to go that morning. :D

We worked our way up the trail nice and easy allowing them time to get use to the machines.2010 800 XP's...By the time we got up top they were feeling like they had those machine tamed and ready to go put use what they learn on the trail ride up.:D

I honestly haven't ridden with a complete newb for 4 or 5 years and have forgot how fun and entertaining it can be........ Watching them take in the views and being blown away by what we get to play in all year long. At one point we got on top of a ridge and got cell service. They started calling their
fiends and associates and saying, "Guess where I'm at, I am at 10.000 feet! On a snowmobile!" Almost like if I was to call home from the moon.
All in all a very fun time and a bit of an eye opening experience..:beer;

Nice work Jacob. I like your analogy of you calling from the moon. I have done a lot of guiding and a lot of rentals and I see people with that excitement a ton. It is sometimes easy to take it for granted when you are constantly exposed to it.

That's awesome to share that experience with them! One they won't forget, and two more friends to the sledding community! Like said, sometimes we forget and get used to the beauty we see everytime we ride!

First Pic.

That first Pic makes me crack up when I look at it. Rob(guy in the picture)
is 6'7 and a complete hoot. When I came around to help him out, not having any understanding or knowledge of the snow, he was clinching on the the bar riser with both hands screaming, "I'm sinking , I'm sinking!" as if he was on the Titanic about to go down.:D
He seriously thought he was about to disappear under the snow forever. Once I got him to understand he was already standing on the bottom he got a much more comfortable feeling about being out there. The snow in that area was only about 3 feet deep to dirt.....

Holy crap, I haven't laughed that hard in a while! Friggen funny!

Nice job Jacob.:D:beer;
We did the same thing this weekend. Took Joe from NY out to see and explore the Beauty of UT. Had a blast.

great job!!!

I can still remember my first trip to the hills....only 1 year ago.

That feeling of yoru first stuck, your first F up, priceless stuff!!!!

And then the feeling of climbing all the way up a hill:D

But you guys need to warn newbs about hoe much it take sot work up the nerve to drop back down even a "little" hill. I swear I sat up top for 15 minutes working up the nerve.

Man the hills are fun!
