Is it just me, or is there tons of space on posts that is just wasted. For a one sentence response to a question, it seems to take up almost a quarter of the screen. Is it possible to condense a lot of this stuff so that there is more actual text being shown instead of all the ancillary stuff?
Top of the post:
There is too much user information on the right and some of it is redundant. Do we really need to see the amount of rep points AND have a visual status? Do we need to know how many thanks a person has received? Or how about the little garage symbols and the other ones? Do we really need all that? Isn't it available already by going into someones profile? If all is deemed necessary, is it possible to stack them horizontally so they take less vertical space?
Middle of the post:
There is always a line for the post title? IMO, there is no point to that. A post title doesn't clarify anything, nor do most people use it anyways? All it does is take up more space.
Bottom of the post:
The selections for thanks and thumbs up seems kind of redundant. Don't they do the same thing? Say the same thing? If not, why are they stacked vertically? Listing them horizontally would allow for a more compact view.
Am I alone with this? It just seems that when scrolling through posts and looking at threads, most of what I am looking at is not the text in the posts, but all the other stuff. It seems to detract from the user experience and requires more scrolling then what should be necessary.
Just some suggestions and as always, IMO.
