Tomichi Pass / Quartz Creek

Anyone ridden through White Pine and up the pass this year? Maybe over the top into Quartz? Still too rocky? Just looking to see how the conditions are. We used to dump at Monarch and ride over through White Pine but I'm sure with the snow this year probably better to just drive up the road at the bottom. Trying to find snow this year is like a big foot sighting, you just hear about it from a sister's boyfriend's friend's crazy uncle. So any news is good news. TIA.

Marshall, St Elmo, North Fork and Cottonwood all not grooming yet. So that's probably answer enough right there.


I'm usually around Gunnison more that anywhere in the State, but haven't even been up yet for winter.

Thanks for the reply. I remember so deep early season days up there. That was when a guy named Bill block owned the rental place in Garfield though.

Any updates? Heading to the Madres (so. wyo) over new years and then probably the next weekend down towards Buena Vista and Salida.

Still no solid info., but met a guy from Crested Butte that was down at Wolf Creek this weekend, and he said Irwin wasn't doing very good yet.


Whole darned State better going pretty soon, or it's gonna be another long winter.
