Togwotee Trip

The Colorado boys got back from Togwotee on Sunday. First time for most of us. Rode for 4 days from 9:00 till 4:30 PM. What a cool place. We rode to the east of the lodge. The snow wasn't really deep,, but they do have lots of snow. The lodge treated us very good. There was 21 of us the first 2 days, then about 12 the next 2 days. 20 XP's & 1 POO... We were nice to him. I will include some cool pic's.
What I don't understand,,, we rode all day 9:00 till 4:30.... About 250 miles in 4 days... Only saw 6 sleds... 2 of them were turbo's... Once we left the trail,,, never saw one track.. Where the heck do all the big time mountain riders ride. As you can see from the pic's we were as high & deep as you can get there.. Were you there from the 14th to the 17th? Maybe the Togwotee riders just stick to the lettered trails...
We all had a great time. We will be back next year. Maybe some of you would like to try to tag along.

Did you guys cause the slide in your shot or had it already slid?? One of the few positive posts ive seen on the lodge this season..

I've always wondered the same thing, everytime we go there, it seems that you see 50 trucks and trailers and then see a handfull of people riding. Of course the first time we rode there we got really close to the wilderness boundary without knowing it. Such a big area and everyone has there "special" places. Great pics sun and the tetons in the background.

probably not many people riding due to snow conditions, when we go we never touch trail and usually dont see but a few other people as well, like you said everyone has their secret spots!

The Avalanche danger has been to high for our group to go up there! And now the snow is all set up! Just can't win! In two weeks we will be there filming.. Hope for good snow.

So you had 20 XP's there for the whole week, what was the performance record and reliability? Did anyone go down or crash? Who set up the sleds?

All the same sleds, same conditions, etc..

It slid as we were riding by it. I was on the little hill to the right of the slide. Waited for it to stop before I continued.

The lodge was good to us. We had 2 rooms rented, they changed the rooms and allowed us to consolidate 4 guys into cabins.

And what's your point....? Oh,,, Cat's & Poo"s have never blown up? OK

I was out there on the 2nd through the 10th and guys I was riding with were setting off avy's from riding in the meadows. The avy danger was just too high to be playing on the mountain sides very much.

Most were 08 & 09 XP's Not one belt blew all week. Not one engine problem. 1 hit a tree real bad,,,, oops. A few bumpers. No bulk head bends. I took a 4 in. tree out,,,

We rode there 3 days and saw 4 other riders. Lots of secret places!

hey were you the guys riding behind brooks lake on thurs? there was 5 of us out there and we ran into a bunch of skidoos in the trees as we were looking for some areas i think we ran into you guys auround bonneville pass of by jules bowl? ig that was you guys! we are from chicago and the snow this year was awesome back there for this time of year!!!!!GOOD TIMES

Yes, I think that was us, About 20 of us crazos. Brooks lakes & Jules Bowl were cool. We did do a lot of tree bashing.
