Need some help here....... we were planning on heading to Togwotee on Monday Morning but it sounds like some on this forum are talking like we should stay home and head out another weekend, so would it be worth it to go to Togwotee or the Snowies or just stay home and pray for snow??? Could we find some over the hood powder at either ??

Thanks a million !!!
Isaiah

Rode the Snowies last weekend and it was great. The wind always blows up there, you have to get off into the trees. I spoke with a friend that was up there yesterday. He said with all the roads closed, and all the wind in town, there was only 5 trailers at greenrock. They had a great day. I wouldn't wait.

We are heading out Friday in the Am ...Staying in laramie Friday night and then the Old Coral the next few night`s

We are staying at Lava Mountain Lodge and leaving here in about an hour we are hoping the snow will be good enough in Togwotee

should have decided to go to snowies way more snow there right now was there last weekend and was great riding deep powder but that was right after a good dumping. From what I hear it is not really that good in tog, but have not been there this year to tell you what riding is like. Where ever you go, hope you have a blast and be safe.

While I can see where there is a lot more snow needed at Togwotee, if you venture off trail just a bit, you can find some light, fluffy powder..... unfortunately, we discovered at the beginning of the day the camera batteries were all-but-dead.... thus the small number of pix....

first two shots are an untouched meadow we played in today:

just gotta venture a bit - if you've ridden here before, I'm sure you know where the good stuff is - this is our first time - we had folks we met on Ladies Ride show us around, and we headed back to one area again today, literally just a few hundred yards off trail! We've got our sights set on another coupla spots tomorrow :)
