You can try Lava Mountain Lodge or there are some places in Dubois, but you'd have to trailer up everyday if staying in Dubois.

I'll check on lava. I'm not the biggest fan of having to trailer if we don't have to but it's an option!

You could trailer right to the HUGE public parking lot just to the side of Tog if needed.

Crooked Creek Guest Ranch is probably my all time favorite sledding destination of all the places I've been in the mountains! The amenities are great. Their cabins are clean and modern. They have an awesome lodge with bar and grill and a huge fireplace to sit around and relax. 24 hr premium gas pump. They have a heated shop in case you need to wrench on your sled. Also Motorfist and 509 apparel. Last but not least managers Nick and Leah will make you feel at home and are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet! We will be out there January 15-19. Can't wait!

Lava Mountain Lodge is one of my personal favorites. Great food and very clean lodging. Lots of cabins to choose from. And the cheapest on the mountain. This year they opened 3 trails leading to LML. I'll be there next week! Can't wait!

ride in/out from the front door cabin in NW CO w/video, weather and avalanche links

I know you already took your trip but I thought I should send this info to you none the less in case you know of someone that can use my info.

For anyone looking for an untracked/unpacked ride in/out from the front door cabin experience this contains lots of links and info. We have a four bedroom/3.5 bath 3500 SF secluded mountain cabin with availability from Feb 4-17 and in March too.

On Monday (Jan 12), Wild Skies' Cabin rentals (90 minutes SW of Steamboat Springs, CO) received 18" of snow on the mountain top. Which brings our seasons snowfall total to 16 feet.

On Monday, only two others riders up there outside our group of four. Great riding and spectacular scenery. Can see Steamboat Ski Resort from a few miles south of the cabin. Still have Feb 4-17 available for rent and our Craig, CO location has great availability in 5 different cabins just a 15 minute drive to the trailhead at Black Mountain (Western side of Steamboat Lake).

See Oct and December issues of Snowest for details on the riding in each location. I am not only attaching the Snowest article links but also a video link of our cabin and terrain, and a link to Lane Lindstrom’s Blog post about our area (He is the Editor of Snowest and was visiting on March 10, 2014) and I am also including a link to a video taken March 19th by some of our snowmobilers from S. Dakota that rented our place and weather and avalanche info for our area.

Thanks for that that looks awesome! I know my crew and I have talked about Colorado for a couple years now so we will be getting in touch with you sometime in the future. It will probably have to be next year now as we have too many other trips planned. Thanks again!!

We just stayed at Moosehaven cabin a couple of weeks ago and they have a great cabin we rented. Right across the road from Lava Mountain Lodge. You can still ride right from the Cabin. See link below.

http://www.mountainpinnacleproperties.com

We've stayed at Lava Mountain also on our club trips and rented the big house which is awesome for larger groups. Both places are great places to stay. We even trailered up to the North parking lot by Togwotee Lodge for a day to eliminate a bunch of trail riding.
