To rebuild as stock or big bore

Tore down my pro, and previous owner had put single ring Pistons with a knick in the cylinder below the exhaust port. Having a hard time deciding if to buy a new cylinder or build a big bore? I don't want a sled that I am working on all the time, ( I have a mnt iqr for that). Just looking for some input.
Thanks in advance.

I had 2000 miles on a 2012 pro. Tore it down and built a RK Tek 858 late last year. I have 2 trips out west and 6 days or riding. Have not strayed from Kelsey's boondocker settings. Very happy with the motor and RK Tek's help.

Got my motor back today, put together and in the truck going to Cooke to dial it in. Ended up putting a 13 jug on the 12 and had the case machined. Went with dalton adjustable weights, like the easy of being able to adjust in the sled. Normally have run by weights on my sleds. Will post the out comes next week.
Erich with SSI did a nice job on the machining, quality looking products.

I am very interested in how this turned out on the Big Bore. I have spoken to SSI and purchased their Can.. Need to do something with the Pistons this summer (hopefully not sooner) and am looking at the Fix Kit or the Big Bore..

I am extremely pleased with the support from Erich at SSI, had a few issues with some mapping and was answering the phone Saturday night at 10 MN time. I didn't have time to tune at home to test this pig out, Put the motor in friday and left for Cooke. The quality of his product is subperb. He will get my business again for my next sled.

Thanks, Erik has been good to deal with. I got his can, ran it 20 miles and got nailed. Yup, my fault for running it in MN.
I like that fact he is 'local' for our area too.
i'll check the engine as soon as the snow melts and make a go or no go based on that.
thanks!
