To Dovetail or not to Dovetail

Just ordered myself a 30' long x 8' wide Double R Trailer out of Nampa, ID.

Have the option of dovetailing the rear of the trailer 5" over the last 4' of the trailer. Basically, this gains me an exterior door opening height of 6'4"...the exact same as the interior height of the trailer.

Wondering what other people's experiences are with this? Is it good to do on a sled trailer? Or, should I just leave it flat and lose the 5" so my door opening is 5'11"?

dovetail it, every time i ride my sled into an enclosed trailer that has the low ceiling in the rear i smash my head cus im used to my trailer with the full ceiling height:nono:

X2 dovetail it. Definitely. It makes the transition from ramp to the trailer floor smoother and you can get more things in depending on height and ground clearance if you heul more than just sleds

Can't wait for my new trailer to be ready for me in September!
