Ordered the x3 track. Assumed it won’t be center ported as that model number was discontinued.

So ordered drivers and a anti stab kit.

Track shows up, sure enough, center ported !!!

So... is it worth the hassle of swapping drivers and hacking up my rails or just run the stock setup. Never had any issues with ratcheting....

I ran the stock 3’’ pitch drivers with the exact same track for a few miles. Horrible vibration and at two spots on the track the drivers would fail to match up with the holes/nubs and climb onto them. Needless to say it did not work very well...

Swapped out with avids, works perfect!

Weird..... looks like you got a belt drive / hex shaft which means your stock drivers would’ve been 2.86” pitch .... did I get that right ?

Oh well. I had no patience. Slapped the track in with stock drivers. My sled is a 3” chain drive.... we shall see how the stock drivers pan out.

If it didn’t work I’ll take out the driveshaft again. Such an easy job !

I have QD yes, but used a shaft from s 2017 174’’ with the 3’’ pitch track.

One day on the x3 .... not sure what all the hype was about. I think the stock 3” track may even work better lol

I’ll give it a few more days !

Mess around with the shock setup, that helped me alot. Loosened up the FTS and it got alot better.

@TRS , you reacted to the above post as if you had some thoughts of why I ran into issues with that setup? Honestly just asking because I know you have alot of knowledge on this subject.

I measured both driveshafts side by side and could not find any differences that would account for the issues.

Thanks

JER.

You switched out to AVIDS, great choice. The AVIDS pitch contacts more lugs compared to the stock Polaris drivers. I use AVID center ports.

I bought a new 163 3” eleven days ago. I have over 500 miles on it now. The track tips were getting pretty soft so I cut it to 2.7” this morning. I should have done it when it was new.3A769885-3D1A-4D09-986B-AFA70BE7F64C.jpeg
