Forum ride was a blast! Poker run on Saturday morning was so much fun! A simple hour long trail ride with a few stops turned into an awesome half day ride on and off trail with a couple stops that had some liquid to "warm the throat." I can only speak for our group on this tho.
The downside was POLZIN had an accident involving a tree which caused a pretty bad broken arm. I only heard and was not there so I am not going to include any more details because I don't know them exactly. Good side to it all was it sounds like the rescue went well and could have been much worse, sounds like he will heal up ok (I hope) and be back at it soon enough.
The night brought the raffles and silent auction which I thought was awesome. It seemed everybody walked away with a prize just from buying a ticket. Silent auction had some great prizes that went for cheap. Cheap as in well under half price which works good for those buying the items, but it seemed most forgot that it was a FUNDRAISER, all to keep open the areas we were all riding that week! Don't get me wrong, plenty of people spent a lot of money to go to a great cause. It's funny how some find $20,000 to buy a sled and gear and equipment and trips, but quickly have empty pockets when it comes to donating. This is just my take on the eve. But I have to end it all with I had the best trip of my life last week/weekend!!!
