TM8-How often to replace spark plugs

I've got an 09 BD TM8. I've put around 300 miles on it this year, just wondering how often to replace spark plugs? I've heard that turbos are hard on plugs. It's running great, no issues, just wondering when I should plan on replacing.

Thanks
Seth

If you are tuning it or it has ran to rich replace them when you get it dialed in, or beginning of the next season.

You'll foul a plug at some point. Having them gapped properly makes a huge difference. If you start getting it running rough on the top end you probaly fouled plugs.

I was told by Jared Sessions at boondockers

plan on replacing plugs and reeds every 500 miles assuming you don't foul any in the mean time

I put two years on a set with 90% Sunoco fuel being burned . Lead all over them , they still run great . You are supposed to change those things?:face-icon-small-sho

What is the gap on the plugs supposed to be with a turbo sled?

What kind of fuel will determine how often to replace the plug.

i.e. higher the octane the more often you will replace them.

I was running 115 sunoco red and replaced them every 3 rides
112 sunoco every 10 or so rides

- you will know because the top end will run like crap.

Well....

I put a brand new set in when we did the turbo install.

I fouled all 4 of them today riding in pretty good pow at RE.

I checked them last night before the ride, all 4 of them were chocolot brown.

I leaned my mixture OUT 3 #'s on low and mid boost on the BD box today from where I rode last weekend.

And I fouled all 4 plugs today?

My stock BD #'s were 20 34 45 .... I was actually running 16 30 42 and they fouled? ... All #'s were boost #'s ...

Last week, road riding, with the stock 20 34 45 I was running lean ....?

I dont get it :face-icon-small-con
