Tm7 help

sleding yesterday made it 1km engine light flashed.stoped checked everything made it another km sled died checked everything only sparks once in a while changed plugs, tryed buddy's stator, ecu, coil, voltage regulator, checked wires cant find nothing could it be the ignition timing sensor??? any help appreciated. buddy sick of me ripping his sled apart.

Check your coolant temp sensor. First check the connector. Its a yellow connector with a yellow wire and yellow / black wire going into it (not 100% sure on the colors)

My connector disconnected itself somehow and I ended up getting towed out. The sensor can go bad and supposedly give you the same symptoms.

Once I got home I played with my sled a bunch before I found the connector and I could get it started by doing the following:

Remove plugs
Disconnect injectors
Disconnect fuel pump
pull sled over.. and over... and over (make sure your plugs aren't in their boots. I "might" have set my machine on fire doing this one time)
Once you are sure there is no gas in your motor, put the plugs back in
leaving the fuel pump / injectors unplugged, pull the motor over.

My machine ran for a minute just on the fuel that was in the t-bodies / case.

I then hooked the fuel pump back up and injectors back up.
It will only start if you hold the throttle wide open on the first pull
this gives it enough air to burn the super rich mixture the injectors are throwing in.

If you pull it over 3-4 times with a closed throttle, it will most likely be flooded again.

Doing this would at least eliminate the possiblity. It doesnt explain your spark problem, but maybe its not really a problem? I coulden't get spart on my plugs because they were so wet, but they would shock me when I pulled the machine over with a plug in my hand.

Oh, and next time your check engine light flashes, count how many times it flashes. That will tell you what the engine was seeing. The coolant temp sensor code was 6 flashes on my TM8.

TPS?
Check it. Identical problems that Speedemon had.

well checked and changed coolant temp sensor with extra one still nothing.Thinking wire harness??? or has to be coil. sled starts once in a while then dies 50 pulls later starts then dies.Any ideas.only sparks once in a while.
