TKI belt drive

I am educating myself on the TKI belt drive. I want one for my 14 pro. I recall reading a discussion, I can't find, that there are certain models that are better and ones to stay away from? Also what is the recommended ratio?
Any and all advice is appreciated.

Been happy with with the one on mine! Have 2.25 ratio on mine, plus the driver reduction. Talk to Tom at TKI, with what questions you have. They say the 2.25 or the 2.33 work the best with stock setup.:face-icon-small-coo

I have a 2.33 on my 2015 Pro 660 and I have been very happy. Worked well all winter with no issues. Tom was great to work it and answered all questions in a very timely manner. Would definitely buy from him again.

I have never head of anyone having any issues with any of the TKI stuff. I do know that if you want one for an Assault RMK you have to call as it's a little different then the Pro-RMK one.

But like others have said, give Tom a call. Super great guy to deal with!

Tom had a kit for the Assault but the gearing was limited due to the space in the chaincase. He has now discontinued that kit as most guys just bought the backing plate off a Pro to make it ready to accept the standard Pro kit.

The backing plate is about $200 USD

IMHO
The best gear ratio is 2.25 for stock clutching or 2.42 if guys are willing to change their helix angle to allow more upshift with the reduced torque that the secondary will experience.
