has anyone installed the aftermarket titan 52 us gal fuel tank in there 01-07 shortbox duramax? wondering if it was a good fit, and would like the driving range and fill stop options.

It replaces the small OEM tank. I've use a lot of these on customers truck, & they work well. I have use them on a lot of F250/F350's.

Summitone on SW had one in a F350 that I sold him. Also, talk to BC on here, he installs them on a lot of Dmax's.

I've had the Titan, but now use the Transfer Flow. The Titan fit just fine, but had to be replaced twice for leaking at the plastic seam. This was back in 2004, and they stood behind the tanks no problem. Tanks bolted right up with no problems. Range on my Duramax was around 800 miles per tank w/ highway driving.

thanks for info, will be a hoot to see the expression on buddy's face when he offers to catch the next fill-up. and is the transfer system a slip tank in the box, cause i still want to run a deck and pull a trailer?

It would be a hoot to see the expression on both of your faces as your running around trying to find diesel fuel cause there is none!!!!!;)

Summitman, you have good look Titan? I wanted to order 3 of them for customers and had terrible service. First they didn't have them ready and would call. Several weeks later I called them and they had some but they were spoken for but the next ones were mine and they would call. Called again and got another round of excuses. That was when they would answer the phone. Gave up on them.

I install and sell only the transfer flow. They have excellent customer support.

I saw on their website they finally released one of their automated systems for 2004+ GM gas vehicles ...

Have you had any experience with these units yet? I am pretty sure I see one in the not-so-distant future for my 8.1L .... I just wish they were bigger than 30 gallons :o

I have installed that on the diesel trucks but truth is the way it wires in is no different than the gasser. They utilize your factory harness and it is super clean no hack wire jobs on there systems. You can put it in yourself but plan on a FULL day if its your first one.
