Ive destroyed every T28 I own and havnt been able to loosen a single of the 4 torxs on the back of the secondary, went and bought a heat gun and got it burning hot but still nothing, any tips? Is a torch my best bet here?

I heated mine up with a torch until you could start to smell the loctight starting to burn then they came out relatively easy with a t handle torx

Dropped mine at the dealer, cost me 20 bucks and a few new screws after I stripped out all 3 of my torx bits. Money well spent.

I just pulled mine out on my 14. Didnt need heat and didnt look like there was any locktite on them

Sat for about 15 minutes with the heat gun pressed against each one and then used a t-27 JET bit that I just picked up in my impact and they just popped right out! Just needed more heat.... Like said above though i didnt see any loch tight on them, not sure why they are so hard. A good bit is definetly key though, my stanley bit and other random one I had kicking around both broke quick

Torch has always worked for me.
Snap on t27 and a cordless impact.

I heated mine up to the point that I thought I was gonna change the chemical composition of the metal. I finally got mine out by heating and using a cordless impact driver. Those things sucked!

i was watching a silber turbo install video and he recommends hitting the top of the screw with a ball peen hammer, that seemed to break them loose , i have always used map gas but will try this method next

Good bit. Impact driver. Don't overtighten on reinstall. No locktite. Replace them if the head shows any sign of stripping. Reverse drill bit if you have to drill the head off.

I'll say the correct Method is heating first, and heat it good! This loosens loctite and that is a must before you rape and abuse Your bits.

Good bits in good shape and dont let them slip!! I mostly use hammer on phillips heads, find the bit/screwdriver that fits really snug and apply down + twisting force as much as you feel it will hold. Then you hit the end of the handle With Your hammer and try to give the twisting some extra juice as the hammer hits.
