Title was supposed to say pot, not post.

Race was 500'. Fairly icy conditions and really all came down to who hooked up the best and had a good reaction time on the lights. Trystad and BJ build some awesome stuff.

Yeah. It was a snow drag that our snowmobile club has been putting on for the last 5-6 years. All three sleds have belt drives. Mini 872 has 3" 162. 880 2.5" 162 Camo Extreme. 860 162 flex edge. Be interesting to see what happens when they get pointed up hill. I think the 3" is going to have a hay day w/ the other two sleds. That's what makes it fun though. What was unbelievable, was when Mini hit his nitrous/methanol setup right off the starting pads. Holy crap. 880 might have to get one of those also.

174 3 inch and drag races on the flat do not go together... Talk about lots of variables and unequal situations.

And you're gonna crown king of the big bore's like this? C'mon!

If its all in fun, now that's different.

It's all in fun. Messed w/ clutching on 880 some around my house and put my turbo XP together this weekend. 872 is not a 174 any more, used to be w/ 2.5 lug, now it is a 162 3" and it is a goat at climbing mountain.

I am in Cooke City this weekend riding with a guy who has BJ's 860 in an 08 xp and it is a strong engine for sure. He has a peak 2.5 and I have the 872 with a CE 3".

We are going to swap machines tomorrow and exchange comments. We both installed new belts today and both machines are running strong. Nothing like real life comparisons in identical snow conditions.

should be fun.

Your 872 should eat his sled alive with the 3" track. Most claim that the 3" track makes a bigger difference than a BB. Of course it is nice to have the extra HP and TQ to turn that monster track.

I've heard that the "Peak" track is a trench digger. How did it work? what kind of snow were you riding in?
