TIMBERSLED where is my chain slider?

Okay, so back on MLK day my dealer contacted Timbersled about the chain sliders....

Still waiting.

Do you boys not have a database with all of the 2016 kits you sold to know where to send the sliders that you should have included in the first place?

The shame in this whole thing is that I've put 40 hours on my kit this year, and loved every minute of it, but I seriously think some of the customer service here is a bit piss pour.

Where is the disconnect?

Rather than raving about my kit, I'm thinking you might not win the wallet vote for my next kit based on piss pour communications.

My patience was very high earlier in the season, and I happily went to bat for your company based on my previous dealing with sled parts.

That patience is eroding fast, will I get my slider before the snow melts next month?

:brokenheart:

I would guess the disconnect is at the dealer level. We ordered our kits when they were announced and received them the next day. I have ordered 2 more fill in orders for customers that have 2015 and older kits, and again they were shipped the following day.

Thank you for the info.

I have some similar feelings overall. Simple communication solves many issues.

There are other kits available now.... People will go elsewhere if they don't feel treated well with any product or service.

dealer support

there is a dealer netwok for a reason. Go to the dealer that sold you a kit and have them get it for you..
I got 3 today for all my 16 kits no charge. anyone who want one for older kit will have to pay for it.

Was at the dealer on MLK day as stated above. Was sitting at his desk when he read the email and responded to it, and followed up with a phone call.

The dealer is not the variable in this equation.

So it took them 2 weeks to get them to you as well?

In stock..

As soon as I saw the Chain slider announcement I ordered enough kits for all of our 2016 units. They arrived in four business days. On any of the units that we have installed them on there was only minor abrasion with the powder coat scratched off. Overall hasn't been an issue for us.

you know what's lame, i had to pay for the slider cause i have 15 kit. I bought the TSS kit in 16 (for full price), had rub issues - and then had to fork out the dough for the slider. Pretty dumb! I90 Motorsports got the slider for me right away though. Props to them!

and props to the dude that came up with Home Depot PVC "T" make shift frame protector. It worked perfect until the real product came out!

I will also give props to Timbersled for the quality slider. Perfectly done. Your customer service skills are lacking a bit, but the product is top notch.

I agree that its total BS that if you paid for a TSS setup for any year of kit there's NO WAY you should have to pay for a part that protects your kit/investment from damage caused by the TSS. Are you kidding me?

We got a batch of them in today for all of our kits.

Simple and affective little part! Easy to install and looks to be exactly what the doctor ordered!

It might be possible, but by the time you try to manipulate the slider to fit, you can have the clip off, chain split, installed no back together. It takes about ten minutes.

I hate taking apart chains, so on the ktm i just did, we pulled the case saver and front sprocket and slid it in.

On the YZ I just did, the sprocket is more of a hassle to get off so i just undid the chain and slid it in.

Both were about 10 minutes start to finish if you take your time.

The part isn't magic but its exactly what the kits needed with TSS.

Update!

One of two things is happening, either employees at Timbersled lack attention to detail while processing internet orders, OR my dealer is a liar.

Background on my dealer: I have a 10 year history dealing with the same people. While purchasing parts for my bikes, both OEM and aftermarket, they have made mistakes, ordered the wrong parts, or goofed in some fashion. THEY HAVE ALWAYS OWNED UP TO IT and fixed the problem. I have always left happy because they communicated quickly.

I do not think they have any reason to start lying to me now.

They informed me that my chain slider was on the way Monday, and that it would be two day aired. While going to pick up my nifty new slider, I received a phone call that Timbersled ground shipped the sliders across the country and I can expect it next week, they had not received any reason from timbersled indicating why they ignored the request to expediate the shipping (which I offered to pay for).

If my employees messed up like this, I would be kissing my customers a$$e$ to ensure they felt like they were treated correctly, regardless of whether or not my middle man dealer was in the loop.

I found out on January 16th that Timbersled had a fix. I bought a 2016 kit, and damn well should have received one before other dealers were able to sell extras off the shelf.

It will be in excess of 21 days from the day my dealer contacted timbersled to order them, to the day I received it.

Still Waiting.

Hell, if someone from TS had sent me a PM I would have shut my big mouth and raved about how great, grand, and glorious they were.

This unfortunately will be my last timbersled kit.

I ran into issues with tsled customer service. I called them up with a question regarding a fit kit for a 05 yz250 2stroke, which they don't list a kit for. The guy on the other end of the line told me I'm on my own and to contact my dealer with questions.
