Timbersled TSS Air Intake question

The original air box had a small fitting and 3/4" tube attached, possibly a regenerative gas tube . Now this tube is just hanging in the intake bay area as the new TSS intake does not have a
fitting to reattach.
Does anyone know the purpose of this tube, should it be blocked, left or reattached ?

It's a breather. Route it down behind the motor to a location where it won't get covered and plugged with ice. I like to put mine where the track just barely touches it, that keeps it from freezing up.

I figured it was a breather, thanks for the confirmation. Not sure why they just didn't put a port on the TSS intake supplied, I'll likely do just that or as you suggested, probably easier.

Knowing what comes out of those breathers - I don't know why anyone would want to plumb it back into the intake and let your motor eat it...

Teal that’s a good idea. On my Yamaha I just have it routed out the bottom with a piece of frog skin zip tied around it. Most of the time I store my bike in a heated garage but occasionally I do leave it in the back of the truck if we are going the next morning and i only have one ride on the oil.
