Timbersled track tension

Curious how tight my 16' Timbersled short track should be? I can barely free wheel it around my garage mostly just skids around... is it supposed to be that tight?

Timber sled recommends it pretty tight, but it should roll around your garage. Is it new? If so it will stretch a little. I think my instructions said like one have to three-quarter inch free play or something like that. When I get home tonight I'll find my instructions and post them

roll on roll on

no they don't roll too good. I run my track loose on my bike. Ran it loose enough to need anti ratchet drivers in the past. too much friction in the skid frame.

I have never disected my timbersled to see where all the friction is, might attack that some night. I have done that on sleds I built, misaligned drivers can be a big hurt, its almost always rubber against something dragging.

The 6 tooth drivers are why you have to run the track tighter than past kits with 7 tooth.
