i just put on my timbersled mtn tamer skid with a 156 camo xtreme 2.5 the sled is a 05 m7 with a BB kit and nitrous

im lookin for having a wheelie happy front end, but worried it will trench bad

how is everyone seting up the mtn tamer skids this is my first one, and is there a balance point between not trenching and wheelies??? i am about 200lbs with gear on

thanks

Alans calibration sheet is pretty close,,, and I use the nylon shims as the final tuning for transfer. I cut them and snap them on the shaft

well i have it according to the specs but it seems very very stiff??? like all my weight bouncing on it moves it a couple inches???

You will not have wheelie happy anything with the TS skid. It transfers better than an 07 AC skid, but couples and keeps the nose down quite a bit more than even the 05 stock skid.

I had to remount it the rear sissor and extend the sliding action in the rear to uncouple the skid all the way to get the kind of transfer I was looking for. Its a nice skid, but not if you like the nose in the air.

is this a turbo sled? if not you need to be in the rear holes on the rail and try letting some air out

If you weight between 200-250# mount the front shock in the rear hole and run 75psi. Set the limiter strap in the 6th hole down from top or 5th hole up from bottom, the end result is the same. Mount the rear shock in the rear hole, Start with 110psi. If you feel it bottoming add air 5psi at a time until it stops, don't over air the shock for your rider wt. Run a 1/4" shim on the TOP of the slide mech. and none on the bottom. If you have any questions or problems let me know. Thanks Budd
