timbersled rear skid question, and opinions

for those that bought them for the nytro, did the rear suspension lightweight drop brackets come in the kit? thought i saw on their site that they came with the kit, but now i cant find where i saw that. planning on buying one in the next few weeks.

how do you like the skid for trail riding to and from the steep and deep? like to hear the good, the bad, and the ugly about this skid. in trail form, meadow carving and hill/chute climbing.

nytro going on a diet over the summer i think. blew my knee out last week practicing with the supermoto bike at the indoor mx track so, i'll have alot of time and alittle spare coin that would have went toward racing, to be able to put towards upgrading the nytro.

thinking about these for upgrades

large fuel tank
revalve the front shocks
stiffer front springs (single rates)
timbersled front and rear
camo extreme 153 or the new cat 153 powder claw
ytz7 or 10 battery
under tunnel exhaust
tunnel close off
seat with storage
rear tunnel mod, cut rear tunnel edge, add foot holds for strength.
clutching and gearing
two piece front skid plate mod

not planning on boosting, any other suggestions on what to do, what do you think of the wish list?

My thoughts are all that stuff is going to cost as much as a turbo. But turbo will make the biggest differents

Can you explain how a turbo will make the rear skid better?

don't think he was saying it would replace the rear suspension. just that if you go through all the cost of light weighting the sled, just add the turbo and it will make up for the lightweight items.

I've got a nytro, and don't think the rear skid is that bad. i do have the mt tamer coming so I can put a longer track under the sled. it does come with the drop brackets, I have it sitting in my garage right now to answer your question.

plus with a turbo being in excess of 5000.00, and the above being roughly 3000 (if you bought it all new and at retail), i dont understand the above comment. and it will need most of the above and then some to make it "usable" with the extra power on tap.

heath you ready to help design that exhaust? gonna need some help with a bum leg. checkout this bruise on the opposite leg as the knee. sux having both legs down at once. ski

Had me :Duntil you said no boost...that would be the FIRST add on:face-icon-small-win

do the rear first....

:)have a friend with a nytro and you for sure have to change the suspention.... no use in haveing a sled that can go fast and does not handle good when its a little bumpy or you jump it... it is good enough... but the tamer will be night and day... my buddie did it.. and he will telll you.. to do it first.. i have a yam mountain and tammered it tooo. ... face it ....yamaha suspention suchs.... in a big way... but i love my yammie......:):)

Justy installed and put nearly 150 miles on my timbersled front and back...it is worth EVERY penny!!!!!

once dialed in the rear skid in INSANE!!!!! incredible is the only way to describe it...is a good discussion started on it in ty4stroke.com in the nytro mountain section under ttabs mod shop

How are you doing the tunnel exhaust delete?
