timbersled or kmod

T
who has riden the stock nytro then put on 1 of these suspensions.and maybe someone has ridden both.please post results---jim

I rode mine stock for about 60 miles and then put a Timbersled Mountain Tamer suspension in the back and a Barkbuster up front. I really like both. I have yet to bottom out and have subjected the sled to some pretty good drops. The front handles better too and seems to turn quite a bit sharper. The combination of the two suspensions shaved a little over 45 pounds off the sled. I'm very pleased. Just my two cents.

what is "kmod" have you considered a m-10 keeps the front down and rides like a couch.I had 3100 klm on and then put the m-10 on,next time m-10 first.

K mod looks a lot like the holz skid (A good skid in itself)---- never heard anything bad about Kmod most guys seem to like the skid
" they are the best deal going cash wise "

M-10's still are atleast 10 or 15 lbs lighter than the stock skid.Plus when you have 300hp who really cares about a little weight.I would rather have the nice ride and be able to keep the front end down when climbing.I,ve watched absoluteapex climb with the stock skid and that thing would almost come over backwards.M-10 rules

I Tried The Light Weigth Rear Skid In My Apex,i Rebuilt It More Times Than I Rode It,i Thought About The Mountain Tamer, then I Gave My Head A Shake, bought Chads Billet M-10 With Dual Ohlins With Resovoirs,by Far The Most Cash You Will Ever Spend On A Skid, but Man Is It Awesome, rides Like A Caddy, looks Awesome And 30 Lbs Lighter Than Stock Oh By The Way My Caps Are On!!!!!

after having run both the expertx and the m10 I wouldnt run an m10 if it was free! It may work for 300+ HP sleds but for anything else, THEY DONT TRANSFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! some may think this is a good thing but for myself and the other 90% of people that dont run HUGE power it sucks! Can take a 200hp sled and make it stupid to ride, absolutley no traction whatsoever!!!. Ask Mike Vanamburg how many tunnels he sets up for M10's? He did mine and it wouldnt work!!!!! As for mounting I called curt (fastrax) ZBroz, CMX, Tison, all giving me the same measurements as it was already installed at!

The ExpertX rides better than the M10, just as strong, and has the easily adjustable ride hieght/transfer adjustment, they really work good!
