timbersled on Ktm 350xcfw???

Hi Im new to this forum, but Im wanting to get a timbersled for my 2013 KTM 350 xcfw. My question is have any of you out there ridden a ktm 350 with a timbersled on it? I know most ride with 450s with the sleds on them. I am just having a hard time justifying buying another bike just for the timbersled. Will the 350 have enough power to play? Thanks for your help!!

do it

thats what i wanna run next year, but i think the w will slow it down a bit, i prefer the tighter trans ratio on a snowbike. the 2013 350xc has more horsepower than alot of the 450's i think it would definately turn the track better than a wr, especially since your a light guy. weve run a couple of 250 2strokes and if the snow isnt super deep you cant pull away on a 450, you just have to ride the smaller bikes a little more wrung out. i think the 350 will make an awesome snowbike especially when the going gets tight.

Thanks alot for the responses, this helps alot! Now with the timbersleds it looks like there is a short track option, long track and an sx. I assume with a 350 i wouldnt be able to pull a long track, so go with the short track? or is the sx a better choice?

I would definitely recommend the ST, I think even some of the 450sx bikes have a hard time with the LT. I have a ST on my yz450f and it is awesome. Most the big 500s and bigger are using the LT just fine. The SX is a great option if you intend to do a lot of snowcross/track/groomed jumps and a little bit of boondocking, but they perform better and have better suspension for jumps and whoops if racing or riding snowcross.

So far I haven't seen the LT really take away from a bike in terms of power. I think the concern we all had about the LT being "too much" for a regular race 450 has been largely unfounded. However, I've yet to see one in all snow conditions... spring may alter that assessment but it is yet to be seen.

Who needs leather, premium wheels and Onstar anyway?

The problem with newcomers is they are seeking for guidance on purchasing or creating a toy they have never experienced. :behindsofa:Wait till the day a rider request's for someone who has the "sport touring" package for his long track! :rain:

I'd stay away from an Avalanche, even if you're sporting a jewel of a LTZ!

I highly recommend a different silencer on that bike. The stock spark arrested silencer is ridiculously restrictive and will run very, very hot and kill a lot of power. I could show you my ruined pants for proof! FMF Power Core is cheap and has a spark arrestor for summer use.
