Is there anyone who has driven Nytro XTX with timbersled Mtn Tamer Back Suspension with the original shocks arrive in front of the skis?
Does it work well or do I have to switch to Fox float in the front as well?

Has ordered me Timbersled Back Mtn Tamer Suspension with Fox x and hope this fits well on my XTX.

i just intsalled the mountain tamer on my xtx with stock rails. youll be impressed how much weight you remove. i kept all the boggies on too. it went on fast and brought the rear of the sled up the 2 inches they said it would. i also put on the barkbuster front on with the stock shocks. not sure what to think about that yet. steers easier but quicker. im stoked to ride it. my only problem now is to figure out what kind of boost to run!

Do you now how much weight you removed?
Cant almost wait til i get mine. i`ll be using stock rails to and stock shocks to.

not sure on weight. i didnt have a scale handy. it felt like the suspension parts i removed weighed more then the timbersled, rails, and boggies combined. my brother who rides an ASSUALT was very impressed with the weight reduction. the two of us had the skid out, timbersled installed and bolted back in in about 4 beers (an hour and a half). it took way longer to install the barkbusters.

I have one in my XTX, with ice age rails and the Float X rear shock. Weight loss was 35-36 pounds!!! (no boggie wheels, but it has four rear idler wheels and ice scratchers)
You will be amazed at the difference when you pick up the stock skid, compared the Mtn-tamer!

As far as the front shocks are concerned they should be fine. The XTX clickers are actually pretty good shocks.
I did put float X's on mine, along with the Bark buster front end. Mainly because it was part of my Nytro diet goal of at least 50 pounds.

Ok, how much weight loss is it to put float x in front insted of stock shocks?
I now if i change the battery to ill save a lot of weight there also, that i will do.
Maybe ill change the stock headlight out to put some little lights in there(save weight).

The Float X fronts (off of a RTX SE) were right around 4 pounds savings compared to the stock clickers per pair.
Float 2's would probably be worth a couple more pounds in weight savings. However I liked the adjustable valving of the stock clickers. I didn't want to give that up, which is why I went with the Float X. I'm glad that I did now, it's nice to able to adjust to different snow conditions.
Bark buster was 9 pounds, for the 39" stance. Stock suspension was 41".
Pulling the sway bar is good for another 3-4 pounds.

I'll probably put a lighter battery in as well, after the stock one goes bad. Not sure what size yet, I know that I don't want to go to small. Rather not have starting issues cold!

May also go with a lighter muffler as well, if I can find one that is quiet enough.

A few pounds here and there, and it starts to really add up. I know that with the 50 or so pounds it's lost so far, I can really tell the difference!:thumb:

weren't you supposed to be making a ti muffler already? :cheer2:

LOL, yeh another one of those "summer projects" that I just wasn't able to get around to.

Then again, part of me was hoping that "ol Ruffy" would be cranking them out like cord wood!:D So I could just buy one instead,,,,,,,,,,,for a really good deal of course:D:D
