whats the easiest way to change out shims? im thinking you dont have to remove skid. also anyone know what glue they use for the bushings on the slidder? had one pop out. only four hrs and it popped?

Just remove the lower part of the rear arm then remove the sliders from the upper part. Use "gorilla glue" or "shoe goo". They tend to pop out from over greasing. I just use a little lithium spray grease on my sliders now.

thanks for the help. ill try the gorrila glue. looks as if it was light on glue from them. also how tight are you guys running your limiter strap? i seem to have to have mine awful tight to get the skid to sit flat.

I set mine up per the instructions, I think it was 12 1/2"? Makes this sled a different powder animal for sure!

i did set it up as per the instructions, the limiter was sloopy loose with the sled on the ground. the front of the skid was touching first so i sucked it up another two holes.

Suck it up til the skid sits flat, or until the steering gets heavy. 80 to 90 lbs. in the front shock and 120 to 130 in the back should be a good starting point.

Was that after you had pressurized the front shock to its correct level (80-90 psi)? I have seen my strap be saggy with low pressure in the shock, but not when I pump it up to appropriate levels.

Do not exceed 12" on the frt. arm height. Set it @ 11.5" and run the shock @ 95 psi. Thanks Budd

i did set it at 11 1/2 to 11 1/4 when i set it up. had 95 in the front shock still sucked it up two holes

weird my sled sits in shop with an inch of slack after setting it up as per spec and rode it at revy with zero ski lift and loved it!only thing i would like is to have a wheelie switch!thanks timber sled!love the skid!had a rev rider take it down whopped out trail about haft way down and he was very amazed at how much smoother it was than his.
